Is Tahwil really free?
Yes. Every Islamic feature — prayer times, Quran, the Arabic curriculum, habits — is free, with no ads and no account. Islamic features are never paywalled.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account, ever. Tahwil works offline — prayer times, Quran, lessons, and habits all run on your device. The internet is only used for optional extras like finding nearby mosques.
My data lives only on my phone — how do I avoid losing it when I switch phones or reinstall?
Tahwil has built-in Backup & Restore (Settings → Backup & Restore). Export a single backup file with all your data, keep it wherever you like — Google Drive, a message to yourself, a USB cable — then import it on your new phone or after reinstalling to bring everything back. No account needed, the file is yours, and it works across phones and even different Google accounts.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your data stays on your device — we don't sell it, and there are no ads or analytics. Location is used only for prayer times, Qibla, and nearby mosques, and it's rounded to roughly 100 m before any nearby-mosque lookup. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
What's in the Quran section?
Word-by-word translation with tajweed coloring, Mushaf or translation reading modes, a daily ayah with Tafsir as-Saadi, bookmarks, and browsing by Surah, Juz, Hizb, or Ruku'.
